Sunday 04/21
Hard to get up today. Been hard lately to wanna get up in the 4 oclock hour and do some hot treadmill action.
Here I am before...
But... here I am right after...
Gotta keep with it all.
A sampling of my morning routine on the "hard day". Not sure what the run is all about. That was "detected". But yeah sure... I ran. ;)
Straight into some hot lawn action with the wife! Hope to be able to get this guy started for the first time this season. [UPDATE: It started!]
Oh yeah... happy bunny day or Easter for the spirited folks.
Had to hit up the Kroger for a few things. Still no tea. No pictures.
The spoils of all my hard work...
Found some trippy art work on the back of the Reeses Puff's box!
Oh yeah... the Red's lost. Losers :(
...And to end the weekend... some GOT!
Onto Monday... sigh
Monday 04/22
To begin... Happy Earth Day yo!
My 5 AM view...
Found a lil Groot on the bed room money tree...
Here's some twisted funny ass shit found on the webs...
[POLITICAL RANT WARNING]
But I guess nothing to hide... the fucking traitor!
[END POLITICAL RANT]
Going to do this 'new' thing at the end of each day... here are today's trends per Twitter.
Not much else for this boring ass Monday. Grilled out again. Burgers and chicken with asparagus, mushrooms and onions.
Workout in the evening. Some Vanilla Ice project...
Onto Tuesday...

Tuesday 04/23
Slow moving today. Did both treadmill sessions and my hard day. Getting REAL hard to motivate...
Got some dandylion killing in today...
Here's a Tuesday funny...
[WARNING POLITICAL RANT]
The fucking orange traitor keeps on helping vets and their families...

Today's trends:
I would like to take the time to mention that today is Taco Tuesday... but this is as close as I will wander to an actual Taco today. Not sure why. These do hit the flavor spot as they are packed with it. Packed with what? Flavor.
Frozen Newmans Pizza for dinner. Lazy. Han Solo for this evenings exercise.
...and the evening wraps up with the some Redlegs action... so fuck you!
...said not me.
Redlegs won!! How about some fireworks?!?!
Remember this...
Onto hump day...

Wednesday 04/24
More hot early treadmill action...
...that is AM on the clock. Here is another early morning view.
Back to bed and then work...
Broken toilet...
Need a new handle from the Depot.
Off to Krogers and the Drive Thru for some ale...
Got this today!! Welcome to the family Roscoe!!
Leftovers for din din... some Redlegs and some evening exercises with Lynnea!
Speaking of the Redlegs... They lost... sigh.
Oh well. Onto Thursday...
Thursday 04/25
Up early for the treadmill. Back to bed. And... up again and ate and started some work and the hard day on the exercising and back to more treadmill... blah blah blah. You know the gig.
Today I wanna write up my opinion on something that sticks in a craw a lil bit.
Something I should be excited about but every time I see a post or promotion about it, I get a bit bent in my mood about the subject.
I am talking about the Hoon doc.
It is going to be released in a few days. The folks that made the film are pumping out promo's left and right. As a creative person myself, I can only imagine the excitement for the film as it is on the verge of being shown to the world. I wish I could share in their enthusiasm from afar. For some reason I hesitate.
I'll come right out and say that my big beef here is the fact that this film started with a Kickstarter. In 2015 several people asked fans of Hoon and Melon to contribute various levels of money to get the film made. If you are familiar with a Kickstarter, backers of each level will get promised a set of incentives to pledge / give / donate a certain amount. Everything from signed prints to books to even an invite to the premier... etc.
1197 people pledged $115,524.00 to get the film made.
I personally pledged $100. I share that not because I feel "special" or above anyone. I do not feel I have any say in the project. I knew when I gave the money that there were no guarantees. Perhaps the film would not get made at all. That is the risk of a Kickstarter... and why I do not like nor will I participate in anything like it again amongst other reasons I will express below. For my pledge I was promised:
Reward #1
Their Gratitude
Exclusive behind the scenes newsletter with regular updates
Reward #2
A personal 'Thank You' from the films Twitter and Facebook pages
A high res digital download of the films poster
Reward #3
If I sent a selfie, they would feature me on the official websites's WALL OF FAME
Reward #4
Name in the SPECIAL THANKS section on the credits of the film
Reward #5 - 'Tones Of Home Package'
All the above rewards plus the GG signed print and digital download of the film.
As of today I have received:
I assume gratitude.
There was no newsletter that I ever got. There was no "behind the scenes" anything I ever saw.
I do not recall any thanks on Twitter or Facebook.
I have heard nothing about the films poster and/or a digital copy for myself.
The selfie thing I would skip anyway but am not aware of any "official site" or wall of fame.
I will see if I am in the credits... if I get to see the film.
In regards to the digital version of the film. I have heard nothing. More on that in a bit.
I had "faith" that the folks asking for the money to get the film made would do this project right. On the up and up. Well... that is not in my opinion how it appeared to go down... almost instantly.
Almost instantly following the Kickstarter, I noticed that the two principal people involved in the project, both of whom I was at the time connected to on Facebook, took off. When I say took off they shared that they scattered to different parts of the country to start what appeared to be "new lives". If I recall correctly, one started a family. The other went to another country to "find themselves". I remember this from posts and their own words. I could be way off base on what both these folks were actually doing but I don't think I am too far off on what I remember.
I remember thinking that the fund raising just ended... and here these two folks are skipping off to do anything other then make a film. I get that folks need breaks but... I dunno, it felt cheap. It felt like they were running off to start lives with the hard earned money us fans gave to see this film come to life. I will admit that I read at the time [and since], horror stories about Kickstarter and how folks would pledge to projects and the folks getting the $$$ would take off with it and use it personally with no completion to the project. These stories are not the fault of those involved with the Hoon Kickstarter. I understand that.
I recall my mind trying to again, give the benefit of the doubt to these people that they would do this "right". Then came nothing. Silence. No updates regarding the film. For years. For years people would ask to no reply. Only when pushed with the perception of growing anger, did they give any type of an update. Only to read that they weren't even close. That they may actually have to raise more funds. There were some statements made about having to clear different types of obstacles like music licenses, etc. Understandable speed bumps... but were cloaked with really no type of updates. For a good long while, it seemed like the film would never see the light of day. Like I said, I have no rights in the project. I am not part of it so why would anyone answer to me or anyone else not involved. Well...
When you ask a bunch of people for a bunch of money to use towards something, those giving the money expect... at the very least that the promises made for the money come to fruition. UP TO TODAYS DATE [04/25/2019] the ONLY promise honored to me is the print I received from GG. Other then the print, not one "reward" as I outlined above crossed my eyes.
Well... the film did finally get made as I mentioned earlier. Now we are up to the... well I guess the release of the film. If you are lucky enough to be in the area of the premier, you may actually have a chance to see it. I am not in a position to make it to the festival where it will be shown. So... I do not really know if I will get to see it or not. But I should... as I was promised it.
Folks are asking about their digital copies as well. Frustratingly it seems like there is no answer on that. The makers of the film... HOPE... we backers will get a copy. It seem like more money is needed... or distribution [meaning money].
Hope?!?! I mean I understand HOPING that the film is screened in many theaters but the backers of the film were PROMISED to get to see the film. That in my opinion should be a talking point that is UP FRONT AND CENTER.
I want to be excited for this. I want at the very least what I was promised. 100 bucks is not a lot of money. I get it. I have no authority or say for that hundred dollars. But for fucks sake... if you are gonna ask folks for money... honor your promises. Do not let folks sit and scratch their heads as to if this all DISAPPEARED or what.
A promise... to me... means you are putting your credibility on the line. If you break a promise to someone, I feel you should understand your credibility with said person is... kinda shot. At the very least it took a hit. I only wish that those that break promises try to re-establish credibility. It rarely happens that I have ever seen. In the case of this film, I have not seen it.
This is my opinion on the matter. If those that promise things end up honoring that, the tip of the hat. If they do not... shame. I now move on...
[UPDATE 05/02/2019]
I said I was moving on but I have to post this. I will let this speak for itself but wanna say that down playing the Kickstarter and those that contributed to it... is spitting in the face. Fucked up!
[POLITICAL RANT WARNING]
Looks like 'Country' Joe Biden threw his hat in the ring to take on the traitor.
My opinion on Biden...
We need a progressive leader to take America forward... I do not belive that Biden is that. Here are the many choices as of today...
I am into those that say EXACTLY how they are going to get this country on par with the other great nations of this world. Elizabeth Warren is very good at spelling out exactly how she intends to do this and is moving up in my book. I still pull hard for Sanders. I have some sticking points with him. I feel he is too general in what he says he is going to do where Warren tells you how she is going to do it.
We better get this right or theUnited States of America's democracy is doomed... if it's not already. Stay tuned...

How about a Thursday funny...
The trends for today according to Twitter...
The rest of Thursday was a whole lotta... nada.
Had some homemade Mexican. Chicken was good. Shells [mini corn]... not so much. Bought some bunk refried beans. Blah. Rice [microwavable] was okay. Over all a 5 out of 10 and that is for the chicken.
Then some hot weather delayed Redlegs action that went too late for me to see the end of. They won. Yay!

Friday 04/26
Bit of frustration this morning.
Got my treadmill sessions in. Yay. Got my early "easy day" work out in. Yay.
My frustration is my job. Yesterday a person in management decided to do a system update on a piece of software that is critical to my job duties. They decided to do the update in the middle of the work day, after which myself and Lynnea were cut off to access to this software. Basically stopping my ability to do my job.
The person doing the update then could not fix the error created by doing the update.
This was around 2 or so on Thursday. As of 11:46 AM on Friday I still cannot do my job. But... I have to sit here at my desk and wait. Wait for some random tech to call me and quickly see that there is nothing I can do on my end to resolve this issue.
I simply do not understand the logic of this person. If you are going to perform a task, especially if that could possibly affect others, then you have your ducks in a row...
...and know how to fix issues that creep up. Same story every single time with this person. There is much much more to this overall story but I will end it here and try to move forward in my mind despite how it makes me feel... which honestly doesn't matter to anyone really but myself. It does feel better to let it out somewhere... even here. I know, I know... blah blah blah Brads feelings...
Well... it is my blog to express as I wish.
Slooow as hell shit Friday. Sad cause I look forward to the weekend.
Here was the highlight of my day... taking in the recycle bins.
The chaos of my deck furniture mirrors the chaos of my shitty Friday...
Here are today's trends according to Twitter:
Rescued part of Friday with some Margaritas, beer and Mexican food!!
And then the Redlegs! Won big time over the dreaded Cards...
Oh yea... don't wanna forget to welcome Greedy Williams [CB] and Shitake... I mean Sione Takitaki [LB] to the Brownies!!!

Saturday 04/27
Pretty chill Saturday overall. Did my early walk but skipped on the second. Still did my "hard day" exercises.
Here is my early and week calorie burn stats.
Here is my early and week calorie burn stats.
Then some CBD and back to some bed time...
To the Kroger for some weekly wares...
Starting the process of getting the pool ready and some lawns did!
The frigging grass got long on me...
Basically chill and relax the rest of the day... Watched the Redlegs lose...
Then wound up the day watching the old fogies get inducted into the RR Hall of Fame... Stevie Nicks put on the best performance IMHO... Def Leppard was okay. Great on the older stuff. I could go without hearing Pour Some Sugar ever again... The Zombies were pretty good. Didn't realize I knew as much as their stuff as I did. The Cure is as strange today as I thought they were when I was a kid. Radiohead decided not to show --- sans two guys. Could have been a good performance. Blah blah blah...
Anyways.... that ends this week. Onto next week!
